Learn To Skate

New to skating or unsure if your player is all-in on hockey?

Learn to Skate is for your player!

This program focuses on the basics in a fun, low pressure environment where your player will learn to stand, fall and move across the ice with forward swizzles, backward wiggles and a snowplow stop.


First Year is Free!

Ages 4+

Learn to Skate follows USA Hockey Youth Philosophy focusing on:

  • Growth and Development
  • Increasing participation
  • Skill Development
  • Providing a Safe Environment
  • Having Fun!


When/if your player is ready to hit the ice and play hockey, they will have the opportunity to transition to our Mite 1/6U team or appropriate team level.

WHO IS LEARN TO SKATE FOR?

Ages 4+

Who have never skated before or are unsure if hockey is right for their player.

When

Sessions will run for 45 mins on Saturday Mornings starting in September.

Jerseys & Socks

Jerseys & Socks will be provided as a part of the First Year Free program

Extra Costs

You may have to cover the USA Hockey registration fee, depending on the age of your skater.

Helpful Information

WHAT ABOUT EQUIPMENT?

You are given the opportunity to obtain free equipment (a deposit fee will be required at the time of pick-up) to use during the season. Each package includes helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin pads, and breezers.

The package does NOT include: Skates, stick, athletic supporter and cup, or mouth guard.
