Per the MN Hockey Player Participation policy, a player can play where they live OR with the association of their school enrollment, should it differ from the residence. For school enrollment-based registration however, parents MUST request a waiver from their home residence association BEFORE registering with the school enrollment based program.
You will need to get a current USA Hockey number for the 2020-2021 season before you can register for HYHA.
CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE the confirmation number. This number will be used to register with HYHA.
Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.
Again for the 2020-21 season, HYHA has a flat fee pricing structure. The cost includes district fees, all ice time, tournament fees, referees, game costs, and other such expenses. Each travel team manager will be provided some discretionary funds to cover incidentals, like lodging for non-parent coaches at away tournaments. A transfer will be made into the team account for all travel players (including those in the HP program), to cover these costs.
Also, HYHA has an automatic payment plan for those players at a traveling team level. The installments will transact October 15, November 15 and January 15.
|Mite, 6U, 8U||$95|
Do you know someone who is interested in playing hockey?
HYHA is offering a “Mites Skate Free” program. This means that all Mite age skaters, who have not played with HYHA in the past, will have the opportunity to play hockey for free! HYHA will waive all registration and ice fee costs for new Mites.
Please note: You may have to cover the USA Hockey registration fee, depending on the age of your skater.
In addition, you are given the opportunity to obtain free equipment (a deposit fee will be required at the time of pick-up) to use during the season. Each package includes helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin pads, and breezers. --More information on this program will be sent to you a few days after your registration is processed.
The package does not include: Skates, stick, socks, athletic supporter and cup, or mouth guard.
If your skater qualifies for the "New Mites Skate Free Program" please contact Diane Jelle at firstname.lastname@example.org for a Mite registration code. In your email, please include your home address and the school your child attends. Thank you!
