TEAM MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

The Team Manager is the machine that keeps the team running.   The manager has many roles.  Below is a list of most of the responsibilities but other things may come up. 

Manager Responsibilities:
  • Attend mandatory D3 manager meeting
  • Team Communications
  • Team Treasurer (manage team funds: Checkbook/debit card will be provided by HYHA Treasurer)
  • Team webmaster (home page, calendar updates, game updates)
  • Schedule scrimmages
  • Schedule and pay refs for scrimmages
  • Responsible for  iPad for electronic score sheets
  • Assign parents as locker room monitors
  • Assign parents as game day volunteers (or create a sign-up sheet)
  • Ensure all players, parents and coaches have reviewed and understand expectations of the respective code of conduct prior to the team's first game or scrimmage
  • Manage game day tasks
  • Responsible for GameSheet
  • Team apparel coordinator
  • Plan team social events
  • Submit social media post requests 
    • for Instagram, send a direct message on the Instagram Hopkins Youth Hockey page
  • Book additional tournaments (if desired by coaches and team) *need HYHA approval
  • Communicate Picture day information
  • Create roster cards for parents
  • Manage all tournament details
  • Check team in at Tournaments
  • Plan season end Team celebration event
