SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The National Hockey League's (NHL) Minnesota Wild today announced that forward Jason Zucker will host a fundraiser to benefit the family of Tucker Helstrom and the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital on Thursday, July 21, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at SEVEN Event Destination located at 700 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis.
On Saturday, July 2, 9-year-old Tucker Helstrom lost his battle to cancer after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, in the fall of 2015. During his battle with cancer, Tucker and his family attended numerous Minnesota Wild games, visited with the players and developed a strong friendship with Jason and his fiancé, Carly Aplin. Though Jason and Carly's time with Tucker was short, the lessons they learned from the Helstrom family about friendship, strength and the power of positivity will stay with them forever.
Tickets to this fundraiser are $145 (must be 21-or-older) and include a complimentary cocktail hour from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Anheuser-Busch products and appetizers throughout the evening and the opportunity to meet and get autographs and pictures from the following celebrities: Ryan Carter, Charlie Coyle, Chad Greenway, Chris Hawkey, Darby Hendrickson, Corey Koskie, Paul Lambert, Randall McDaniel, Mark Parrish, Laura Schara, Bill Scherk, Jordan Schroeder, Erik Stolhanske, Jamie Watson and Jason Zucker.
