In preparation for off season hockey, HYHA hosted a checking clinic for next year's Bantams.  Hopkins HS Varsity Coach Cory Peterson and HYHA coach and Travel Coordinator nominee Vince Manarin took the skaters through an hour of drills on the appropriate techniques for checking and body contact.  Preparing new Bantam's for the next level and giving returning players a brush up on their checking skills.  

A second clinic session will take place on April 9th with the coaches expanding the drills into game situations.  The clinic is free to all HYHA skaters who will play Bantams in the 2016-17 season.  Go to the clinic/tryout page of the HYHA website for the registration link.
